Customer Appreciation Sale

Hello Friends,

I celebrated my First Anniversary of Mitzi Adams Studio in July, & wanted to send a Thank you for being my customer! Building a small business from scratch, takes time, tears, tenacity (& talentšŸ˜Š).  Most importantly, it takes your support & belief in me & Iā€™m grateful to YOU! I love to get feedback, so send me your reviews and/or pictures, & Iā€™ll post on my Customer Review page. With the 19-month illness & passing of my mom last August, sewing gave me peace and comfort during many hard days. ā€œArt enables us to find ourselves & lose ourselves at the same time.ā€-Thomas Merton. I think mom would have been excited for me & my new found adventures in business.

This sewing journey began five years ago with a strong curiosity to learn to sew.  Sewing machine seemed intimidating & almost mysterious to me. I was clueless about all things sewing: pressing seams, Ā¼ inch seam allowance, needles, stabilizer, embroidery hoops, fabrics, & the multitude of threads & which kind to useā€¦ (you get the idea). One day, I saw a quilting class advertised at a local sewing store & thought, ā€œIf not Now, When?ā€ I bought a machine, took the classes, & completed my first quilt-log cabin style.

It has been 5 years later since I sewed my first stitch. With persistence, Youtube, the library, online & in-person classes, my extensive book collection, fellow quilters, & FB groups, I am now making this journey with YOU.  My customerā€™s feedback, & support have helped me to continue growing in my skills. Thank you to Havelā€™s of Cincinnati for asking me to represent as an Ambassador of their fine sewing tools.

My website now offers items starting in the price range of $5-$20 as well as more elaborate items in the ā€œShopā€ tab. I have also added a Vintage tab in the ā€œShopā€.  I love collecting vintage items & I want to share them with YOU.

Giving back to community is important to me. Through time, talent, or treasure we can find ways to touch other peopleā€™s lives. I volunteer at The Nest Center for Women & Children & when my artist friend, Lindsey, and I partnered up for a Nest fundraiser 4 years ago, it made sense to partner & create my childrenā€™s book, A-Z for Me! Life Skills for KidsAll the sales from book are donated to The Nest Center. Their work helping women, children, & families is life-changing. My mom was able to visit The Nest once before she was ill. Last Month, I donated my ā€œFriendship Quiltā€ to the AMEN House for their annual gala. This non-profit, Amen House, works to feed and clothe Georgetown families on hard times.  Georgetown was our family home for 12 years. We still have friends & connections there.

To celebrate my One Year Business Anniversary, Iā€™d like to offer you a private discount to my customerā€™s. Use the code CUSTOMERAPP20 to receive 20% off your entire order now through Dec. 1st.  There are lots items being added weekly (I wish I could sew fasteršŸ˜Š) so if you need stocking stuffers, this is a great time to stock up: soup bowl cozy, pocket tissue holders, pocket prayer mini-quilt, autograph quilt, kitchen boas & more.

Happy Fall!  I hope YOU find joyful moments each day & thank YOU for your patronage of Mitzi Adams Studio. YOU make it possible for me to pursue my dream!
