About the Author and Artist

Mitzi Adams, M.Ed, is an Elementary teacher, tutor, community volunteer, artist, and author. Through decades of volunteering, Mitzi has been an advocate for women and children. Her first book, A-Z for Me! Life Skills for Kids was written to facilitate dialogue with parents, teachers, and children.

All proceeds from the book are donated to The Nest Center for Women, Children, & Families in Lexington, KY to benefit women & children.

It is her hope to encourage talents and strengths of all children, gain empowerment when faced with challenges, expand empathy, & equip children with social tools to enable life success.

Mitzi has been making art in multiple mediums for years: Stained glass, pottery, painting, resin, and quilting. She has spent many hours practicing her skills, on-line training & classroom training, as well as her studio time. She is a Havel’s Sewing Brand Ambassador, and Graduate of Shannon Brinkley’s-Patch Works Entrepreneurial Business for quilters.

Mitzi resides in Lexington, Kentucky with husband and their three young adult children. She spends time with her family & friends, writing, quilting, and making art with her three furry side-kicks.
